WW2 German Army Panzerkampfwagen VI Sd.Kfz. 181 Ausf E; Tiger No. 217 of Tank Ace Oberleutnant Otto Carius, 502nd Heavy Panzer battalion; Summer Campaign Otto Carius is a German tank commander enlisted in the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. He fought in the Eastern Front from 1943-1944 and on the Western Front by 1945. He commanded a Tiger tank while fighting in the East and was assigned to a Jagdtiger column in the defense of the German homeland. He is credited with having 150 kills most of them during the campaigns in Russia and the Baltics. He died on the 24th of January 2015, aged 92. From a free 3d resource.
