Sliding door - Contemporary glass steel wood
I built this door for our living room, to keep pets out, but still retain visibility. The glass is suspened in the steel framework allowing ventillation to pass through the door.
The door frame is 1/4" x 2" steel flat bar. Glass is 1/4" tempered. Wood frame for the glass is red stained mahogany, attached to the frame with 3/8" dia stainless steel rods.
The assembly hangs from a wall mounted industrial grade wheel and rail system. A small guide block attached to the baseboard keeps the door aligned with the wall and prevents sway.
