The Archer-class was a #Federation scout vessel, named for the famous #Starfleet captain, and developed in 2252 to support Starfleet and the Federation’s expanding presence in the Alpha and Beta quadrants. First launched in 2254, the 14 man crew, 50 meter long, triple deck vessels would be equipped with 2 Type VI Phaser Emitters single Photon torpedo launcher, an advanced Deflector Shield System, and the capability of planetary landings via the ships specially engineered structure, inertial damping systems, and retractable landing gear. The Archer class would remain in service until 2273 when they were gradually phased out of service and replaced by Gagarin, Clarke and Oberth classes This model represents the Archer Class USS Rama in flight, and is based on the 3d model by Marc Azevedo (from the original design by Masao Okazaki ), as well as various paintings and drawings of the Archer-Class..
