Currie Hall • Currie Hall is the University's only Hall of Residence, as distinct from the four autonomous Residential Colleges: St George's, St Thomas Moore, St Catherine's and Trinity. • It was founded in 1946 as the University Hostel, using temporary ex-military buildings. • The current building was constructed in stages from 1966 to 1974. • The Hall is named after Sir George Currie, the second Vice-Chancellor of UWA, who was instrumental in founding the original Hostel for returned-servicemen enrolling in the University after World War II. #Accomodation #Blue_Room #Currie #Residence #UWA
