Wizard's bicycle frame jig

Wizard's bicycle frame jig

Joey K.
This is a mockup of a bicycle framebuilding jig I'm building. Its design is derivative of Alex Wetmore’s derivative of the Arctos: http://alexwetmore.org/?p=1177 The t-slot beams are an unknown aluminum extrusion recovered from my local scapyard. The angle brackets and plates are from a retail metal supply. The pivot plates need arcs cut into them. You can use a rotary table to mill one or attach circle guides to a plasma torch or wood router. Other specialty parts I modeled: - cones: http://www.flyncycle.com/WHEEL_BALANCER_CONES_p/whb010.htm - B holder: http://www.harborfreight.com/small-tail-pipe-expander-37352.html & 7/16-20 threaded rod and nuts - The Dude, frame, and the torch were cribbed from the 3D warehouse to provide some size reference. The text is my nom de guerre. #fabrication #frame_jig #framebuilder #framebuilding
