Highlands Pedestrian Bridge

Highlands Pedestrian Bridge

Paul P.
Connecting the Highlands neighborhood with downtown Denver (often called "LoDo"), the Highland Pedestrian bridge is a modern take on the suspension bridge dedicated to pedestrian and bicycle access. Unusual in design: it is a suspension bridge without traditional supporting towers, but rather it uses "inverse" cables made of 18" dia. steel tubing to support the vertical 2" suspension wire cables. Modeled with Building Maker: Building Maker helped guide the construction of the latticework (or "grid") to orient the bridge in the terrain and create the bridge framework. Key photos taken on site were used with photo-match in Sketchup to complete the model. #bicycle_bridge #bike_bridge #bridge #denver #highlands #lodo #Pedestrian_bridge
