The Fairfax Hotel, next to the catalina and other quite small but famous hotels. About this building: As you can see, the facade consists of four identical parts, connected by one diagonal eyebrow. the building features a symmetrical entrance, with a great sunroof. another common Art Deco feature is hidden in this building. The little edges around the windows, also seen at the starlite hotel on Ocean Drive. I would say this building was established around the 1940s, just after the Art deco era. this means it doesn't belong to Art Deco, but to MiMo. just like the National hotel, Sagamore hotel, the Shelborne and many others in its neighbourhood. #An_unknown_Hotel #Sagamore_hotel
