It supposed to be true straight line mechanism to convert rotary movement to straight.
The red drive arm rotated by servo (-100 to +100 degree) as the selected proportions provide these safe limits.
There is great freedom to choose arm lengths (with your own design).
the red arm has to be the design radius, the center pivot of greens must be 1 radius away from red center pivot. the greens can be any length and can slant towards or away from the red (or this case perpendicular) symetrically.
then the tips of greens determine blue length.
playing with proportions on your own design can be noticed the changing of angular-to-straigth ratios.
