Hackett Hall, on the east side of Whitfield Court, was one of the first buildings constructed on the Crawley campus site, between 1927 and 1931. Its architecture is of the Mediterranean style. This Hall was named to honour Sir John Winthrop Hackett, first Chancellor and benefactor of the University.
