This is my vision for how a modern home office might look in the year 2020. It has a huge screen that is of course 3-D. If any of the devices contain a CPU it would only be the bluetooth headset. All other devices, including the big screen, the tablet screen and the small screen (think iPhone - seen here being used as a mouse), and the 3-D printer are all connected to the earpiece by Blutooth. 802.11* does not exist for any practical purpose any more. 6G wireless connection through the earpiece provides all data carriage. All heavy data processing is done by data servers provided thru cell phone companies. All programs, games, and graphics processing are provided by 3rd parties. Proprietary hardware and localized software are all still available but extremely rare because of their inability to keep pace with technological change. The only camera, video camera, remote control you have is your "small screen".
Retail stores hardly exist anymore and delivery trucks carry mostly raw printing material because your 3-D printer makes everything - including microwavable meals. Therefore, restaurants are either extremely popular or extremely rare, depending on cultural evolution.
