Asurans are a race of sentient artificially created beings that us to inhabit Pegasus galaxy. They were originally created as a weapon to battel the wraith but failed to do so. After ancients lose intrest in them they lived undisturbed for thousands of years , under the rule of original Asuran Oberoth until they encountered Atlantis expedition. Asurans lured in AR-1 and captured them. After probing their minds Asurans attack atlantis , but ultimately failed thanks to combine efforts of AR-1 and Asuran Niam resistance. Later on Asurans send a satellite to atack atlantis. To escape from the atack Tau'ri flew Atlantis into hyperspace but not before tacking damage from the satellite.Damage Atlantis exit hyperspace and was stranded in space. Do to disrupted power circuits Atlantis quickly run out of power so Ar 1 raided Asurus to get more ZPMs. While on Asurus they menage to get one ZPM as well as activating wraith attack command code effectively resuming Asuran wraith war. As the Asuran wraith war continue. As war developed Aurans came up with new policy of combat with the wraith. Killing them by eliminating their food supply. When Atlantis expedition learn of this new policy they found themselves working with a wraith named Todd in order to destroy Asurans.
