The Beehive, named for its appearance, is part of the parliamentary complex in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. The striking Beehive (government building) and the adjoining Parliament House and Parliamentary Library lie at the heart of Wellington's parliamentary district, a short walk from the train station.
