The following furniture items are modular. You can take the pieces you want, copy as much as you need and connect them together in any way you like. All items are components (Not groups) to allow simultaneous editing of all copies of such a component. The items are solid, and you can mend them using “Outer-shell”. Add Clean-up ruby plug-in to remove excess lines after mending. When done, you can delete all unused components.
The modular system uses minimal-memory items and is fast and easy. Here are the designs you can use:
Bed: You can copy-and-paste to make two beds, remove two legs and merge beds into queen bed. Adjust distance to control the width.
Closet: Use horizontal divider to separate the different modules and make the top. Vertical divider is adjustable. Use it as divider and siding.
Sofa: arm, leg, single and corner seat can be arranged to make single, love-seat, L-sofa and long straight.
Coffee table: Four “legs” are of the same component. Adjust distance between legs to make the size you want. Edit one component (leg) only, and stretch inner corners to make table surface.
Kitchenette and vanity closet: Vertical dividers are usable as separators and sidings to make correct visual effect. Kitchen islands with sitting area can be made by adding “table-top” extension.
Dining table: extend table using the middle-piece (floating outside) then copy-and-paste to add more chairs. #basic_design #modular_furniture #quick_sketchup #spartan
