Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Unity Temple in 1905 and it was finally built in 1909. It was one of the first public buildings in the world to be built entirely of poured in place exposed concret. It was also revolutionary for a church, cubist without steeple or front entrance. It mirrors the Froebel blocks Wright played with as a child. It is a Natioonal Historic Landmark.
