OSHKOSH HEMTT M977 CARGO TRUCK (HEMTT)

MorBius
The Oshkosh Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) is an eight-wheel drive, diesel-powered, 10-short-ton (9,100 kg) off-road capable multi-variant tactical truck first entered service with the U.S. Army in 1982 as a replacement for the previous Army M520 Goer truck, and has remained in production since that date. The model presented here is an early M977 A0 cargo truck variant with rear-mounted crane, and at 33.4 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 9.3 feet high, was powered by a 445 hp Detroit Diesel 8V92TA V-8 engine coupled to an Allison HT 740D 4F/1R automatic transmission. A large model (82mb) and highly detailed, scenes provide various views of the model, while the Tag view allows cycling various vehicle systems on or off for more detailed inspections. While too numerous to mention individually, my thanks to the many Warehouse modelers who contributed to this model
