This model includes interior and exterior of the most common apartment buildings in paris - Haussmann buildings !
Lots of trims and molding, gas lighting and glass paneled doors make this building very authentic and accurate to the early 1860s, when those kinds of buildings were built.
While the ground floor (and sometimes the first floor too) were saved for the shop and shopkeepers, the second-story apartment was usually the "noble" apartment, with many trims and molding, 3.5 meter ceiling height and a long balcony.
The upper two floors were for the middle-upper class, with the same layout (and lower ceilings).
The next floor was for the lower-middle class, with less fixtures and even lower ceilings, and the top floor was for the maids ("Chambre de bonne
"), servants and housekeepers that worked for the families that resided on the second & third floor.
Enjoy !
