Ardingly Reservoir dam, valve tower and water sports Activity Centre.

Thomas C.
Ardingly reservoir was constructed in a three-year period from March 1976 to the end of 1979, at a cost of £2.5 million. The reservoir covers a 198-acre area and feeds into the River Ouse (Sussex). The Ardingly Activity Centre, located at the south west corner of the reservoir, provides watersports for the public including wind surfing, canoeing, powerboating and dinghy sailing. Fishing is also available. The Valve Tower regulates the flow of water from the reservoir into the River Ouse and nearby water treatment works at Shell Brook.
