Buffalo-style bungalow house (±1915-1930, urban)

Dan T.
* Northeast / Great Lakes region, USA. * City / urban, inner suburb / suburban, village. * Detached / single family house / home / residence. * Stoop frontage. My first Sketchup model. This is an example of regional bungalow style, built by the thousands through the mid-1920s in the then-booming neighborhoods at the edge of the city of Buffalo, New York -- Kensington, Delavan-Bailey, Schiller Park, Pine Hill, Riverside, Kenmore, and South Buffalo. Many of those bungalows haven't aged well, due to harsh Buffalo winters and insensitive updates. Bungalows in East Side neighborhoods also experienced the impacts of residential succession and housing filtering to lower income groups. This model is made with zoning and form-based code illustration in mind. The interior is basic; just floors, walls, door openings, and stairs. #building

This is a very awesome model! I like the layout of this old home. You even included the milk man's hatch too! The front door is great. I love this! I'm surprised the kitchen wasn't completely walled in or is this a renovated version? Could you check out my bungalow homes too? I have a lot of them.

Thank you! Over the past several months, I saved a ton of your models in a "Conventional and form/transect/TND zoning graphics" collection. I don't think I have the time or patience to create models as detailed and accurate as yours -- they're the standard bearer. You're right -- the kitchen should be walled in completely.
