I made this Shoe rack for my 2 kid's ever increasing shoe/sandal storage. I had the perfect wall space behind one of our home door way, the only challege was for me to make it light & a sturdy design to hold maximum shoes.
I opted to make the front & back sides of the boxes with ¼" plywood this greatly reduced the weight & I used ½" plywood for the sides to give strenght to the boxes as well as for the vertical slats to securely wall mount and hold all the boxes.
