The extended two-storey house with a baroque pediment is the oldest building in Minsk. It was based in the 16th century. The building was connected with a Holy Spirit Church and monastery by two-storey walls with arched passages on the first tier and loopholes on the second. The complex of monasteries, nunneries and the church formed a closed ensemble fitting for defense.
By today the nunnery survived almost unchanged. The internal layout of the building is a corridor with two wings. On the second floor of the larger wing the chapel has once been housed. Some elements of the wall old decor are still preserved. Currently in the former monastery a music school is situated. #Minsk #monastery #Upper_Town
