Here is my simple submission for the wooden toy challenge. Dominoes. These are used in strategic game play, but there are other uses of these tiles where it is used as a toy of sorts. Pieces are in sets of double 6 (most common), double 9,12,15 and double 18. The sets I have chosen are the double 6’s. They originally were made of ivory or bone, hence the name Bones for the game. Other names include bones, cards, tiles, stones, spinners or dominoes. These are used by many children as a toy for stacking as high as possible or lining them up and knocking them all down by tipping the first tile. The Netherlands has hosted an annual domino toppling exhibition called Domino Day since 1986. The event held on November 18, 2005 knocked over 4 million dominoes.
