This TWA Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation Star Of The Seine N6902C, was involved in the Grand Canyon mid-air collision occurred on Saturday, June 30, 1956, when a United Airlines Douglas DC-7 struck the Super Constellation over Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. All 128 on board both flights perished, making it the first commercial airline incident to exceed one hundred fatalities. The flights had departed Los Angeles International Airport minutes apart for Chicago and Kansas City, respectively.

This TWA L-1049 was delivered in 1951 as one of the first Super Connies ever built. Star Of The Seine was a constant subject of TWA postcards and pictures. All interiors are made with the historic pics help.
