Buro Ole Scheeren has announced the design of the Empire City Tower, a skyscraper on the peninsula of the Saigon River. The building is designed with the idea of creating a green space combined with modern architecture with tropical climate typical of Vietnam. The highlight of Empire City is "Sky Forest." Empire City Tower overlooks Saigon River and District 1. With a height of 333 meters, it is expected to be one of the tallest buildings in Vietnam. With this design, the building looks softer, greener. Many native plants and aquatic plants are planted in the building to create a "rainforest".
